## Interconnect Site #### Prerequisites - Central XProtect Corporate system - Remote XProtect system connected to Central site via Interconnect. - Alarm Definitions created REF: [Configure your central site to respond to events from remote sites](https://doc.milestonesys.com/en-US/bundle/doc1040_2025r3/page/content/feature_flags/ff_interconnectedproducts/mc_configureyourcentralsitetorespondtoeventsfromremotesites.htm?tocpath=XProtect+VMS+products%7CXProtect+VMS+administrator+manual%7CConfiguration%7CMilestone+Interconnect%7C_____6) - Milestone Systems - Create a `User Defined Event` for each alarm you want to trigger on the **Corporate Central Site**. ![Alarms from Remote Interconnect Site|300](<Milestone XProtect/Interconnect/z_img/Alarms from Remote Interconnect Site.png>) - For the `Alarm Definition` created on the remote **Interconnect** site add the `User Defined Event` as the `Event triggered`. ![Alarms from Remote Interconnect Site|850](<Milestone XProtect/Interconnect/z_img/Alarms from Remote Interconnect Site 1.png>) - *Alternatively* use a Rule to trigger the User Defined Event when the event in question is triggered. ![Alarms from Remote Interconnect Site|700](<Milestone XProtect/Interconnect/z_img/Alarms from Remote Interconnect Site 2.png>) ## Central Corporate Site - On the **XProtect Corporate site**, Add any `Events` you want to use from the remote **Interconnect site**. These events show with the Hostname of the remote **Interconnect system** before them. ![Alarms from Remote Interconnect Site](<Milestone XProtect/Interconnect/z_img/Alarms from Remote Interconnect Site 3.png>) - Restart the **XProtect Event Server** on the **Corporate** central site this will bring the new `Events` into `Rules` and the `Alarm Definitions` from the remote **Interconnected site**. - Create and `Alarm Definition` with a `Hardware Event`, find the new `Event` from the **Interconnect site**. Select the **Interconnect site** as the Source. ![Alarms from Remote Interconnect Site](<Milestone XProtect/Interconnect/z_img/Alarms from Remote Interconnect Site 4.png>) - ==*Alternatively*== in a `Rule` add the `Hardware Event`, select the **Interconnect site** as the `Source`. ![Alarms from Remote Interconnect Site](<Milestone XProtect/Interconnect/z_img/Alarms from Remote Interconnect Site 5.png>) Now when the `Event` is triggered you will see the `Alarm Definition` be triggered on both the **Remote Interconnect site** and the **Central Corporate site**.
