### **SYMPTOMS** Sometimes an MSI package is requested so software can be installed in bulk across an organisation. ### **CAUSE** Milestone do not directly provide an MSI package for the Smart Client installer.  ### **RESOLUTION** 1.     Run the **XProtect Smart Client 20## R# Installer x64.exe** 2.     Do not proceed with the install 3.     The install files have been extracted in the background to `C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VideoOS\` 4.     Find the newest folder 5.     Copy `ClientInstallerWix.msi` 6.     Cancel the **XProtect Smart Client** installer    I have been able to install with just this `.msi` file, it runs only in **ENG** as no language can be selected. and completes without any prompts. **XProtect Smart Client** installed before. Some other files in the installer folder might be required for a fresh install (i.e. `ClientInstallerPlugin.dll`). Languages can be updated in the **XProtect Smart Client** settings menu.
